By installing the Exhaust Cutout Valve or simply Exhaust Valve, it allows the exhaust gas to flow in the desired direction.

In the case of the Mercedes Benz CLS 55 AMG below, the exhaust gas is directed directly to the floor and completely bypassed the rear mufflers.
