Compared with the VW Golf 6 R's factory stock original downpipe, without the two huge catalytic converters the SUPERCIRCUIT Catless Downpipe is a lot less restrictive. Hence allowing the turbo to spool faster and lesser turbo lag.
The picture below shows how the turbo outlet of the VW Golf 6 R's 1,984cc (engine code CDLF/CDLC) looks like, after the factory stock original downpipe is removed.
The SUPERCIRCUIT Downpipe is designed for direct bolt-on application, the flange is machined from stainless steel for extra durability and for direct bolt onto the turbo outlet of the VW Golf6 R as shown in the picture below.
As for the bottom end of the SUPERCIRCUIT Downpipe, it is a slip-joint which is fully compatible with the VW Golf 6 R's original cat-back exhaust system and fastened by the original exhaust clamp as shown in the pictures below.
