We have just installed the SUPERCIRCUIT catless downpipe to the 3rd generation Mercedes Benz SLK (R172) below.
The SUPERCIRCUIT Downpipe is made with grade 304 mandrel bent stainless steel pipes and is fully TIG/Argon welded on CNC machined stainless steel flanges. As compared to the Mercedes Benz SKL (R172) factory stock original downpipe which has a huge catalytic converter in the picture below, the SUPERCIRCUIT catless downpipe is a lot less restrictive, it promotes better exhaust flow for faster turbo spooling and lesser turbo lag.
The SUPERCIRCUIT Downpipe is designed for direct bolt-on application. It is bolted onto the Mercedes Benz SLK's turbo outlet flawlessly, no mod or weld is required during the installation.
At the other end of the SUPERCIRCUIT downpipe, it is compatible and directly bolted onto the Mercedes Benz SLK's original cat-back exhaust system, no further mod is required during the installation.
