The SUPERCIRCUIT Catless Downpipe is made of grade 304 mandrel bent stainless steel pipes and fully TIG/Argon welded on CNC machined stainless steel flanges, for long lasting performance and direct bolt-on application.
Just like the Mini Cooper S hatch-back, the convertible version also comes with the outgoing 1.6L turbo charged 'Prince' engine, so they are sharing the same downpipe as shown in the picture below.
The SUPERCIRCUIT Mini Cooper S (R567) Catless Downpipe is designed for direct bolt-on appliation, it is bolted onto the turbo outlet as shown in the picture below and clamped onto the rest of the factory stock cat-back exhaust system via the original exhaust clamp shown in the picture further below.
This catless downpipe promotes better exhaust flow, hence faster turbo spooling and higher torque and horsepower can be achieved. It is ideal for ecu remapping/ tuning needs.
